Each election cycle, CCAR makes decisions on which candidates to endorse and financially contribute to. Our primary election or “early endorsements” reflect candidates who have advocated and fought for REALTOR® priorities in the past. All candidates endorsed for the 2024 primary election have helped expand home ownership opportunities, preserve private property rights, and protect your business as an independent contractor.
These decisions are not made in a vacuum. CCAR’s endorsement committee, comprised of different committee members across CCAR’s various committees, recommend which candidates should receive the association’s endorsement. These recommendations are informed by past policy positions, voting record, recent polling, electability, ethics, and campaign finance. All CCAR endorsed candidates are required to agree to WASHINGTON REALTORS® RPAC statement of values and principles(see attached). All CCAR endorsement committee recommendations receive final approval from the board of directors.
